Okemo goes ECO

Earlier this year, Okemo Mountain Resort created an interdepartmental team, ECO, the Environmental Committee at Okemo, to assess and focus our initiatives and passions on programs that will lead to a healthier environment in which we live, work, and play. While ECO has been working diligently for the past six weeks on several projects including increasing the recycling program at Okemo, and adding some new environmental education programs for February Break (check out the Full Moon Snowshoe Hikes), we also want to hear what you, our guests, have to say about the environment.

We invite you to take a moment to fill out our short environmental survey to voice your opinion. Not only will you get to tell us what you think, but all participants will be entered to win a free one day lift ticket at Okemo this season. The survey is open to all until February 29, 2008. (Winners will be notified shortly thereafter.)

ECO is also working on getting an environmental webpage up on the Okemo website, so keep your eyes open for more news on the ways Okemo is going green in order to save the white stuff that we love!
